Archery

  • Beginning
    • A basic class in target archery, this course requires no prior knowledge or experience. All equipment is provided. The emphasis is on target archery shooting technique, safety, and the history of archery. Grading is based on shooting skill, proper form, and knowledge of the sport.
  • Intermediate
    • This course assumes the student has knowledge and experience in target archery and includes advanced shooting technique, bow tuning, and tournament preparation. Admission to this course requires beginning archery or instructor approval. Grading is based on shooting skill, proper form, and knowledge of the sport.
  • Advanced
    • This course assumes the archer has taken the first two classes or has some target archery competition experience. It is a continuation of and builds on the concepts taught in beginning and intermediate archery. Emphasis is on shooting longer distances, dealing with the outdoor elements, equipment selection and tuning. Admission to this course requires completion of intermediate archery or instructor approval. Grading is based on shooting skill, form and knowledge of the sport.
