Tennis

There are three levels of tennis classes taught by PEAP.

  • Beginning
    Designed for the student who has limited or no tennis skills. This course emphasizes proper techniques (forehand, backhand, serve, and volley) as well as basic rules.  The skills are acquired through drills and games. There is a limited amount of match play. The grade is based on skill tests and a written examination.
  • Intermediate
    This class is designed for the high school varsity athlete that is used to tournament competition.  The grade is based on match play in both singles and doubles, a skills test and a written examination.  Must have played competitively, as a significant portion of your grade will come from an in-class tournament.
  • Advanced
    This class is designed for the superchamp or high level champ players. Grades will be determined by skill tests, tournament play and a written examination. Must have played competitively, as a significant portion of your grade will come from an in-class tournament.
